When My Writing Began:

After documenting my experience during a hurricane for my job in international work, it became clear I had a talent for writing, and my writing career was born.

About Me:

I, Grace Allman Burke am a writer who lives in Dallas, Texas. I write in various genres, including, fiction, non-fiction, biblical historical fiction, a recipe book, and an Essays Collection. In 2020, my book December’s As Pleasant As May, a collection of personal and formal essays, won the Distinguished Authors Guild (DAG) Award in the Inspirational Category.

I hold degrees in Nursing and in Nurse-Midwifery from Cornell University and Columbia University, respectively. This background informs my writing in related professional journals.

Jacksonville Theological Seminary conferred my Doctorate degree in Theology. I lead a ministry for older adults at my local church. In this capacity, among my other duties, I write newsletters and Christian Education curricula.
